Hey, all!

Welcome to the Logical Images Strategy Blog!

I apologize for the lateness of putting this up, but just wanted to let you know that the management team is going off site for a couple of days next week to start planning for next year.

Without getting into too much detail, the theme of the meeting will obviously be growth. How do we do more and generate more revenue with our current product, potential new products, in our existing markets, and potential new ones?

That may be a little bit tactical instead of strategic, but I think this year may not be the best time to bet the ranch on an overarching ideal.

Nevertheless, breakthroughs can come at any time, from anyone, in unintended ways, and pierce the fog of the unknown to reveal things in crystal clarity!

So I wanted to give you all a chance to weigh in, and give us your comments and opinions so we can digest them at the meeting. Anything that is on your mind about what we are doing right, wrong, what you think we should be doing, comments, critiques are all fair game.

I'm assuming that you know our four main markets are Government, Institutional (hospital systems, academic med centers, hospitals, Public Health, potentially others), Individual Physician (peds, family practice, internal medicine, infectious disease), and Consumer.

It doesn't take much math to figure out that if we can generate $5 million from each of those markets, we'd have a $20 million company!! It's simple.....we just have to figure out how to get from here to there!!!

Some of you have participated around 18 months ago or so, when we talked about the SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) and built the four quadrant grid. Any thoughts about those aspects of our business are welcome as well. What do you think we are great at? And how bout not so much? What do we need to be on the lookout for, both good and bad? If you looked at us in 3-5 years, what would you see? I see that there is a brainstorming meeting scheduled for the beginning of October, so this would be a perfect place to get those thoughts flowing in preparation.

So help me make our sessions the most productive they can be by benefitting us with your good input. Thanks so much for your continuing determination, commitment, and optimism!

  1. Thoughts from Dottie and Margaret...

    - We would love to see the product be more intuitive to use from the first point of contact (i.e. the home page)this would allow trial users to navigate the tool successfully with out a demo.

-Search for a strategic partner, in a compatible but not competitive market, such as an EMR vendor. This would allow us to quickly penetrate the health care informatics market.

  3. This is more tactical than strategic - A new customer was just signed in my territory(Luther Midelfort - Eau Claire, WI) that is also a strong user of Isabel. I researched and found that Carle Foundation in IL is also a Isabel user. Luther Midelfort even has a video testimonial on Isabel's web-site. These customers see value in having both of these complimentary solutions. Isabel publishes their complete customer list on their web-site and I will be targeting the 9 hosptials in my territory with a cold call campaign.
